LS hydraulic steering pumps offer a smoother, more comfortable ride. They provide precise control in tricky sailing situations by significantly reducing the effort required to turn the steering wheel. The 20 HB CAR helm pump is fitted with non-return valves, preventing any unwanted movement of the cylinder(s). It also has pressure relief valves to protect the circuit against abnormal pressure build-up. Depending on the model of LS hydraulic cylinder associated with this pump, a complete movement from port to starboard will take between 2.7 and 4.6 turns of the steering wheel.
